Featuring one of the oddest musical acts to ever emerge from Japan, Hatsune Miku: Future Live is a VR reconstruction of a stadium concert with limited gameplay interactions. Hatsune, a virtual multimedia pop star, performs on stage while the player stands amongst a crowd using a VR remote to follow along with Hatsune's dance moves. If the player does well enough then special performances can be unlocked including private one on one backstage events. While the general presentation of Hatsune Miku: Future Live is fine for a simulator, a general lack of content on offer. Waving a virtual glow stick around becomes tiresome and the rewards are hardly tempting. Hardcore fans of the anime style or Hatsune Miku may well enjoy the sensation of attending and interacting with the star, but more general players will find little beyond the initial performance.
